Meet Your Teacher:
Archana began her yoga journey in 2009, when she took her first yoga class to loosen up a stiff runners body and fell in love with the mindfulness aspect of the practice.
She has been practising Yoga in India, the United Kingdom and Africa and is keen to continue to expand her understanding and knowledge of yoga. She is passionate about sharing the true essence of yoga being more than just asana and more of a holistic way of living and healing.
Join Archana to learn the ancient art of deep listening, tuning in to the internal, non-conceptual, softer aspects of your nature.
About Her Practice:
Archana is a 500hr RYT trained in Yin, Classical Hatha and Yoga with Props and Vinyasa.
Yin is a gentler, slow and deep style of Yoga where poses are held for longer periods of time, providing a perfect balance to the dynamic and muscular styles of Yoga.
Yin Yoga applies healthy stimulation to the fascia/connective tissue of the body and creates space in the skeletal system, encouraging the flow of Qi around the body, removing blockages and promoting organ health. This class is deeply healing and meditative, a pure treat for your body and mind.
About Her Classes:
For most of us, beginning with the most tangible, the body (Yang) is a common doorway into the Yoga practice. As we become less distracted and healthier physically, we become interested in that which is more hidden.
This is the Yin aspect, the subtler side that Yoga offers. Most forms of yoga today are dynamic, active practices designed to work half the body, the muscular half, the "yang" tissues.
Yin yoga allows us to work the other half, the deeper "yin" tissue of our ligaments, joints, deep fascia networks and ever our bones.
Archana's private sessions are perfect for someone who is ready to experience stillness in an asana.
