Why We Made This
Is finding a comfortable position the hardest part of your meditation?
Open the Dhyana cushion. A 60 cm square of quilted organic cotton padding designed to bring comfort and versatility to your practice.
This foldable seat is larger than most meditation cushions, so your hips, knees and ankles are all cushioned at once. Fold it in half and it doubles in height, lifting your hips above your knees, taking the weight off your spine and keeping you seated in comfort.
Use it for seated meditation, pranayama, or as an extra layer of cushioning under your knees during lunges, Camel Pose and other kneeling asanas and when you're done, it folds shut and carries like a bag.
Thoughtfully crafted to support the way you practise, on and off the mat.
Larger than most: 60 x 60 cm. Most meditation cushions are 35cm across. Our seat fits your whole crossed-leg seat, or both knees and shins when you kneel.
Organic cotton filling. Dense, natural and breathable, so it holds you up instead of sinking like foam, and stays cool in an Indian summer.
Handmade. Filled and quilted by hand. Stitched channels keep the cotton evenly spread, so it doesn't bunch up at one end.
Extra cushioning for your knees. Kneel on it for camel pose, low lunges, cat-cow and other kneeling asanas, so your knees aren't pressing into a thin mat.
Two heights in one. About 10cm open and 20cm folded, for when your hips need more lift.
Folds flat and carries by the handle. 60 x 30 cm folded, light enough to take to class.
- New to meditation: fold it for extra lift so cross-legged sitting is comfortable from day one.
- Daily sitters: a steady seat for 20 minutes or an hour of meditation, pranayama or japa.

FAQ
Questions From The Community
How tall is it?
About 10cm open and 20cm folded. If your knees sit higher than your hips when you sit cross-legged, use it folded.
Is it firm or soft?
Firm with some give. It's packed with organic cotton so it holds you up rather than sinking, and the quilting keeps the fill from shifting.
Is it big enough to kneel on?
Yes. At 60 x 60 cm it's larger than most meditation cushions, so both knees and your shins fit on it in camel pose, and your back knee fits comfortably in a low lunge.
I've never meditated. Is this for me?
Yes. Most beginners find floor sitting uncomfortable because their hips are too low and their ankles press into the floor. This fixes both.
How is it different from a zafu?
A zafu is a round cushion that lifts your hips but leaves your knees and ankles on the floor, and it doesn't fold. This one cushions everything you sit on, gives you two heights, and folds to carry.
Can I use it for yoga too?
Yes. Open it under your knees in kneeling poses, or fold it and sit on its edge in forward folds.
Can I return it?
For hygiene reasons this product can't be returned once opened. Exchanges for manufacturing defects only.
How long does delivery take?
Standard delivery is free and takes 4 to 7 working days across the country. Express delivery takes 2 to 3 working days.
